I have been going to the Pizza Place since 1980. The people their are extremely friendly and the food is great. I love the pizza by the slice. Thanks Pizza Place for staying open now for 40 years. CONGRATS!!!

Ordered over the phone and informed the lady i was new to town. They burnt the pizza and me and my family waited in the parking lot 20 more minutes while they made a new one. No apology. Pizza Tasted ok but was still burnt a bit on the bottom and the kids wouldn't eat it. They ate cereal for dinner. Got ranch sauce and it was a bad texture and taste. My wife said it was spoiled, i tried it and it was definitely off. Threw the ranch in the garbage. Oh and There was no cheese on a few pieces along the edge. Bad experience probably won't go here again.

I have been there mostly for lunch, hotdogs and pizza. Both are good, not great, but it's convenient and I can get my order quick and cheap...which is good enough for lunch.

These high-rated reviews must be from the owners or something - seriously. Where do I begin? Customer service - they're insanely unprofessional and VERY slow when you do walk in the door. Had two employees argue with me over the toppings I had ordered - who argues with a customer? Especially a Jew who couldn't eat, and thus would never order, the topping they incorrectly had in the computer? Seriously... Building - it's whatever on the outside, but grotesque on the inside. There is no way you would eat out of someone's kitchen if it looked like that, so why I ever let my husband get our pizza from here is beyond me. Pricing - not bad at all and the large pizza's are huge. Freshness/quality - greasy, GREASY pizza; cannot be real mozzarella cheese, from my experience in making my own pizzas. There is always SO much semolina flour caked on and usually burnt on the bottom of the pizza, it truly makes you wonder when the last time they cleaned their ovens out was. ** One thing I really wanna mention is the rude employee I got to interact with today: he had only two teeth, both of which were rotting out of his skull. This tells me two things: one, he can't take care of himself; and two, if he can't bother to brush his teeth, how the hell do I know he washed his hands before making my family's food?

Not something I would ever repeat. No where near as good as Moretti's, Rosati's, or Giodano's in the area. Bad sauce, sausage, and crust on a simple cheese and sausage thin crust pizza.

We've just relocated to the area and have become fans of The Pizza Place. We order for delivery about once a week or so. They'll store your contact information so it's fast and easy to order. The delivery service is always friendly. The thin crust is, and the sauce and toppings are nicely balanced. The other items we've tried have been good, as well. Be aware that if you order during a peak time, it might take an hour to get to you. Not a big deal to us, and great for football night! Oh, and remember to ask for your Bonus stickers that add up to a free pizza! :)

Not impressed with the pizza, the length of service time, the staff or the dining area. Not ever going back.

Good pizza, good prices. I went several times over lunch to grab a slice. It's thick, traditional pizza (which means sausage). Even though I'm much more of a pepperoni fan, it was darn good. The slices are huge. I have an appetite, but as long as I'm honest about when I've had enough, one slice is enough. They also sell regular hand-tossed pizza by the slice. Good stuff.

I would give it about 3.5 stars, maybe 4 because of the banana splits and all the memories I have there. The pizza isn't so great as I remember, but they have a ton of other things too. I haven't really tried many things here recently though. I used to come here to get soft serve with my dad when I was little and once when I was sitting outside on the old white round concrete tables they used to have, a train came by and blew its horn making me drop my ice cream cone. I like the tracks and the trains that go by. That was just an unfortunate event. :-]P

Best pizza in the area. The bar for good pizza in the area has been set pretty low, but this is very good. The sauce is good and they provide a good amount of it. I especially recommend their take and bake pizzas. I will pick one up during the day and just cook it in the oven when ready to eat. Beats delivery by a ton.

We moved up to Round Lake twelve years ago after living in the city as well as the western burbs... The Pizza Place is the best pizzeria for take-out or delivery pizza hands down. If you like fun "healthy pizza", I highly suggest the 'veggie special with chicken on thin crust - crispy' which is smothered in tomatos, onions, peppers, olives, chopped chicken breast, mozz and more. My husband enjoys their sausage and mushroom thin crust - crispy. I rate them high because they offer a great tasting pizza at a very reasonable price. If you believe you are special and seek special 'gold star' service this is not the place for you, but if you're a average human being who doesn't mind average service, then The Pizza Place is for you. Round Lake Rosati's is good, but they are more expensive and their pizza always arrives cold. Forget Pizza Hut or any of the other chains... The Pizza Place is the real thing.

This place is bomb. Great ice cream but once i came in and a stupid woman did not know how to make choco dipped ice cream. Their were holes all over and spilled over me. She said it was "My fault" for rushing her. I was in no hurry

I normally order from here and love the service and pizza. However, tonight our service was horrible. I called at 6:23 and the pizza arrived at 8:03. The pizza was room temp. When we called the manager to complain of course we expected an apology and compensation. She exclaimed "what do you want me to do?" Poor service. Poor customer service response on the manager. We will not order from there again.
